I’ve literally been fishing and surfing around that river at rout 119 for weeks looking for a feebas and couldn’t find one so I was wondering if there was a special tactic used to find him…….. Can you help me out?

Your right thinking that Feebas can only be caught on the water of Rt 119. It is only in 6 tiles out of all the water tile on this route. It is fairly common on the tiles it is on, so try each tile 5 times and you can be fairly certain it not the tile your checking. try working in a pattern you can keep track of so you don’t repeat yourself. Remember, the tile you are fishing is the tile IN FRONT of you, not the tile you are on.

When you do find a tile with Feebas, do your self a favor and catch as many as you can. This will allow you to more easily breed Feebas for a proper nature Milotic. At the very least, get one female, but that won’t matter if you have a Ditto.

If you want to change the 6 spots you find Feebas on, go to Dewford (the town in the lower left hand corner of the map) and change the trendy saying with the boy above the PokeCenter. Yes, you are correct in thinking that makes no logical sense.

This page will help. I mostly just paraphrased it for this answer.

Don’t worry if it takes awhile. Feebas is one of the hardest Pokemon to get. But, once you get it, you can just breed tons of them and Milotic is a great pokemon to have for battles.

Note: The above poster is wrong. In Emerald, the tiles do not change unless you go to Dewford and change the saying. In the DS games it changes every day.

Feebas i REALLY hard to find.
There a six patches in the water where you have to fish.
These 6 patches always have a Feebas in them
But the problem is that every day these 6 patches change
So it’s in random places everyday
I caught a Feebas once and never saw another wild one again, i was quite lucky.

    Hope this helped
