I’ve surfed beach breaks, sandbars and points on waves up to 6-7 foot and I would like to try my hand on reefs. Does anyone have any recommendations where would be a good spot to learn? I still consider myself a beginner and made the transition to riding short late last year.
I’ve been surfing in Europe and most recently North Africa.

Indonesia of course!

It just depends on where you surf.

I wouldn’t consider you a beginner if you’ve been riding 6-7 foot waves. I would suggest indo, the mentawais, fiji.

It depends, me first coral reef was at Unrealz in Anahola Kaui and its a forgiving reef feels almost like huntington, but in any case just go and try it. Probably somewhere in da mentawaiis or perhaps a few spots in Costa Rica.
