Learn to surf the easy way

I recently transferred some film from my old 8mm camcorder to my laptop. This video was filmed onboard the offshore supply vessel “Oil Tracer” in the year 2000. We were sailing out of Dordrecht in Holland carrying pipes to the pipelayer “Allseas Solitaire”. Can’t remember why we were backloading them in the video!

On Fred. Olsen cruise ship Balmoral in Bay of Biscay, huge waves pounded the ship. This wave broke over our cabin window nearly 30′ above the normal waterline.
The biggest wave was over 50′ high, according to an officer on the ship.
We sailed from Dover UK on 17 Jan 09 and returned 27th, having failed to make our destinations – Tangiers and Lisbon
